Payment Policy

1. Purpose

This Payment Policy outlines the payment terms, accepted payment methods, billing procedures, refunds, and related conditions for customers purchasing products and services from Green Tech within Australia.

By placing an order with Green Tech, customers agree to comply with this Payment Policy.

2. Accepted Payment Methods

Green Tech accepts the following payment methods:

  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • PayPal
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • Bank Transfer / EFT
  • Buy Now, Pay Later services (if available), including:
    • Afterpay
    • Zip Pay

Greentech reserves the right to add, remove, or limit payment methods at any time.

3. Currency

All prices displayed on the Green Tech website and invoices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated.

International transaction fees or currency conversion fees charged by financial institutions are the responsibility of the customer.

4. Pricing and GST

Green Tech are not eligible to charge GST.

Green Tech reserves the right to:

  • Correct pricing errors
  • Update product prices without prior notice
  • Cancel orders affected by incorrect pricing

Where a pricing error occurs, Greentech will notify the customer before processing the order.

5. Payment Timing

5.1 Online Orders

Full payment is required at the time of purchase unless an approved payment plan or trade account arrangement applies.

5.2 Custom Orders

For custom-built, special-order, or bulk products:

  • A non-refundable deposit of 50% may be required before production or procurement begins.
  • The remaining balance must be paid before dispatch or collection.

5.3 Trade Accounts

Approved trade customers may receive payment terms of:

  • Net 7 days
  • Net 14 days
  • Net 30 days

Trade terms are subject to credit approval and ongoing compliance with Greentech’s account conditions.

6. Order Processing

Orders will only be processed once payment has been successfully authorised and received.

Greentech reserves the right to:

  • Delay shipment pending payment verification
  • Cancel suspicious or fraudulent transactions
  • Request additional identification or verification documents

7. Failed or Declined Payments

If a payment is declined or reversed:

  • The order may be cancelled or placed on hold.
  • Greentech may contact the customer to arrange an alternative payment method.
  • Any bank fees or chargeback costs incurred due to failed payments may be charged to the customer where permitted by law.

8. Invoices and Receipts

Customers will receive:

  • An order confirmation after purchase
  • An invoice or receipt upon successful payment

Invoices are delivered with your order unless otherwise requested.

Customers must ensure their contact and billing details are accurate.

9. Refunds and Chargebacks

Refunds are governed by:

  • The Green Tech Refund Policy
  • The Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

Customers must not initiate a chargeback without first contacting Greeh Tech to attempt resolution.

Where a chargeback is found to be invalid or fraudulent, Green Tech reserves the right to recover associated costs.

10. Late Payments

For approved trade accounts or invoice-based purchases:

  • Overdue invoices may incur late payment fees or interest where permitted by law.
  • Green Tech may suspend supply, services, warranties, or future orders until outstanding amounts are paid.
  • Debt recovery costs incurred in collecting overdue accounts may be recoverable from the customer.

11. Fraud Prevention

Green Tech may use fraud detection and payment verification systems to protect customers and the business.

Green Tech reserves the right to:

  • Refuse transactions considered high risk
  • Request proof of identity
  • Cancel orders suspected of fraudulent activity

Any fraudulent activity may be reported to relevant authorities.

12. Secure Payment Processing

Green Tech uses secure third-party payment gateways and industry-standard encryption technologies to process payments.

Green Tech does not store complete credit card details on its servers unless expressly stated and legally permitted.

Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their payment information and account credentials.

13. Promotional Discounts and Gift Cards

13.1 Discount Codes

Promotional discounts:

  • Must be applied at checkout
  • Cannot be redeemed after purchase
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash
  • May be subject to expiry dates and conditions

13.2 Gift Cards

Gift cards:

  • Are redeemable only at Green Tech
  • Are non-refundable unless required by law
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash
  • Must be used before the expiry date stated on the card

Lost or stolen gift cards may not be replaced.

14. Ownership of Goods

Ownership of goods remains with Green Tech until payment has been received in full.

Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon delivery or collection.

15. Compliance with Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Payment Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Customers are entitled to consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian law.

16. Changes to This Policy

Green Tech may update this Payment Policy from time to time.

The latest version will always be available on the Green Tech website.

Continued use of Green Tech services following updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
